Study of LED Lamps and noise

This is from Germany, but in English. Nice information to know, as I had planned on using LED’s in my basement! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8zMhjXcmoA I’ll have to start testing these to make sure they’re ok to use before buying about 15 of them!

This is just cool….

Georgia QSO Party

Ok, so this year, I’ve been in-between jobs, sold my truck (my favorite station!) and am scrambling to figure out what to do for the Georgia QSO Party this year. I’ve got a radio en-route, and am thinking about traveling to activate a county with some friends. It would be a great trip, and I [...]

The shack is almost there. We had a couple of financial setbacks, like an air conditioner, that caused us some delay, but it’s finished from a construction perspective, now if I can just get moved in! I will post pictures when it is finished!

Decisions Decisions Decisions….hmmmm….

Here’s the snafu…I’m really interested in purchasing a TenTec Argonaut QRP rig, and just as I have this interest, I’ve mentally committed the funds that could be used for this little radio to another project – a Hexagonal Beam for the shack.  What to do, what to do?   I think I’m going to stick [...]

The Basement Shack Project

I was just reading a blog on a ham writing about finishing his basement so he could move his shack down to the “man cave”. This got me to thinking, what will the first qso be like in my new shack? The reason I thought about this is because when I move in, I’m also [...]
